Johor Bahru, 6th May 2017 – Regency Specialist Hospital (Regency), a leading private healthcare facility, held an event to promote healthy lifestyle among the community through fun and informative activities.
Regency World Health Day, held in partnership with Seri Alam Properties Sdn. Bhd. (SAP), saw almost a thousand participants learning more about practising a healthy lifestyle and preventing diseases through activities such as health screening, fitness exercises, healthy cooking demonstration and competition, as well as health exhibition.
Mr Gan Boon San, chief executive officer of Regency, said that the hospital celebrates World Health Day every year and actively engage with the local community to promote healthy lifestyle.
“One of the most important things in life is to be healthy – not just physically, but mentally and emotionally as well. This event provides an opportunity for the community to come together to focus on actions that can improve the health of all our people,” he said, adding that he was proud to work with SAP this year.
While most hospitals focus on curing diseases, Regency believes in prevention is better than cure and as such encourages the public to go for regular health screenings available at the hospital’s Health Screening Centre. Mr Gan added that having a proper diet, learning stress management and being active goes a long way in improving a person’s wellbeing.
