The Dietetics Department provides nutrition assessment, education and nutrition support to all in- and out-patients as well as the community in a professional environment. The department works actively with Food Service unit to advise on the therapeutic diets for hospital inpatients.

Individualized, evidence-based dietary advice to prevent or treat medical conditions is offered to patients at Regency Specialist Hospital.

Services Provided

Regency Specialist Hospital Dietetics Department provides a comprehensive range of services, including:

  • Inpatient services incorporating nutrition assessment, education and support (oral, enteral & parenteral) especially in the area of :
    • Cancer
    • Cardiac Diseases
    • Gastrointestinal Diseases
    • Kidney Diseases
    • Post Surgical & Trauma Care
    • Terminal Diseases
    • Wound Healing
  • Outpatient services for ongoing nutrition support and education following discharge from the hospital. These may include general nutrition, weight management, diabetes, gout, hypercholesterolemia etc.

Besides meeting the hospital patients’ needs, our dietitians also provide external services such as giving nutrition talks and consultation to corporate clients as well as the public.
