Job summary

Assists licensed pharmacist in preparing and dispensing drugs to patients and healthcare providers. Verifies that prescriptions are filled correctly and in a timely manner. Interacts with patients in delivering medications and completing other sales transactions. Receives, records, and stores medications coming into the pharmacy. Maintain stock of prescription medications and informs pharmacist of inventory needs.

Requirements

  • Diploma in Pharmacy
  • Able to work well in a team
  • Possesses good interpersonal skills and able to communicate successfully with internal as well as external customers
  • Possess basic knowledge and skills in Microsoft Office

Duties & responsibilities

  • Assist the Pharmacist in prescription processing to ensure accuracy and targeted waiting time are met
  • Key in daily dose supply including return and refund medications
  • Packing prescription with speed and accuracy, re-label and print summary labels or picking lists, and rectify typing errors, file and count prescriptions, top up stocks (FEFO and FIFO) in assigned shelves and ensure shelves do no run out of stock
  • Perform ward stock replenishment daily
  • Assist Pharmacist in ward stock inspections and clinic inspections
