Important Notice: Data Breach Incident at Regency Specialist Hospital
Regency Specialist Hospital Sdn. Bhd. (“Regency Specialist Hospital” or “We”) detected unauthorised access to part of its IT systems on 14 October 2025. As soon as this was identified, we took immediate action to secure our network, contain the incident, and begin a detailed investigation supported by independent cybersecurity and legal experts.
We have notified the Personal Data Protection Commissioner (JPDP Malaysia), and have also lodged a police report as part of our response process. In parallel, we further have strengthened our data protection and system monitoring measures as part of our ongoing security enhancement.
We want to reassure our patients, partners, and community that all hospital operations and patient care services are fully operational. Our forensic review to date has found no impact on our hospital information system, and all services are continuing as normal.
Preliminary findings indicate that certain personal data stored on specific internal servers may have been affected.The unauthorised activity was limited to isolated servers within our internal network and has been contained. We are continuing detailed forensic analysis to confirm the scope and will notify affected individuals directly where possible.
We understand that news of such incidents can be concerning. Please be assured that we are continuing to monitor the situation closely and are working with our cybersecurity experts to safeguard personal data and address any potential risks.
