Dr Bong Ye Chen

Dr. Bong graduated from Manipal University, India in 2008. He earned a Master of General Surgery from the University of Malaya in 2017 and is accredited by the National Specialist Registry (NSR). With a special interest in colorectal diseases, peritoneal surface oncology and minimally invasive surgery, Dr. Bong completed the Advanced Colorectal Surgical Skills Program at the University Kebangsaan Malaysia in 2021. Further enhancing his expertise, he underwent a fellowship in colorectal surgery and peritoneal surface oncology training at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taiwan, during 2022/23. His training encompassed advanced minimally invasive surgery for colorectal diseases and the management of peritoneal surface malignancies, including Cytoreductive Surgery, Hyperthermic IntraPeritoneal Chemotherapy (HIPEC), and Pressurized IntraPeritoneal Aerosol Chemotherapy (PIPAC). Dr. Bong is certified in PIPAC and HIPEC by the International Society for the Study of Pleura and Peritoneum (ISSPP) in France. Additionally, he holds certification in Minimal Invasive Surgery from the Vietnam Association of Surgery and Endo-laparoscopy Surgery and Diploma of Laparoscopic Surgery from Strasbourg, France.
