Dr Lim Teck Chin

Dr Lim Teck Chin is a Consultant Urologist at Regency Specialist Hospital with over 25 years of experience in urology. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Glasgow and completed his postgraduate surgical training in the UK before returning to Malaysia. He was first gazetted as a General Surgeon in 1994 and later as a Urologist in 1999. Dr Lim has worked in both public and private healthcare settings, gaining extensive experience in endourology, uro-oncology, male infertility, and minimally invasive procedures. He pioneered the use of Holmium Laser Enucleation of the Prostate (HoLEP) in Malaysia , the only procedure endorsed by guidelines for prostate enlargement of all sizes worldwide. He is also a certified robotic surgeon. Beyond clinical practice, Dr Lim has contributed to research, including studies on next-generation cancer treatments. He had also held administrative roles, such as Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee and an expert panel member for the National Cancer Registry. His work continues to focus on advancing surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes in urology.
